David's home remodeling career started in his 15th summer, when he dug a basement out from under a Chicago house with a hand spade and paint bucket. Excavating that entire basement five gallons at a time in the sweltering midwestern summer set and galvanized his desire to build, and he eventually moved up to framing, flooring, finish carpentry, and custom cabinetry. David literally learned the construction trades from the ground, up.
Living around the country introduced David to architectural styles from many different regions, and with such a variety of influences, he has developed a knack for interpreting where design desires and practical surroundings intersect. The result is a space informed by our clients' lifestyle, aspirations, inspirations, and ideas, with an eye on maximizing aesthetic appeal, emotional impact, and long term value.

Outside of work Dave values spending time with his family more than anything. Tahoe, Mexico - wherever there is water, music, golf, and something to grill, that's where you're likely to find Dave and his family. He also loves to learn about anything about new building techniques and home automation technology, and loves to help house, feed, and educate the people who need it most.
